During the Thirteenth Annual Induction Ceremony, eight sports heroes were inducted into the Salem County Sports Hall of Fame. This year’s inductees included: Erin McCarthy, Jerry Hoglen, Joe Cacia, Nathan Dunn, John Maniglia, Candyce Deloatch, Becky Peterson, and Norm Willey.

In Salem County Community College’s Davidow Theater, more than 200 attendees gathered for the ceremony, including family, friends, members of the community and representatives of the Salem County Board of Chosen Freeholders.

“The college is always proud to be the home of the Salem County Hall of Fame to celebrate excellence and team work. Excellence doesn’t come without dedication and sacrifice,” Salem Community College President Joan Baillie said, welcoming all attendees.

The event is sponsored by The Partners of Salem County — a group comprised of PSEG Nuclear, the DuPont Chambers Works, Mannington Mills, Franklin Bank, The Memorial Hospital of Salem County and South Jersey Times.

“In the past years we have inducted 88 people — some great, great athletes and we are thrilled,” South Jersey Times Publisher-Ad Director South Ceil Smith said.
