The Forman Acton Foundation Proudly Announces 2022 Class of Forman Scholars

The Forman Acton Foundation is proud to formally announce the selection of its 2022 Class of Forman Scholars. After a rigorous application and interview process, 16 hardworking Salem seniors were selected by the Foundation’s Scholarship Committee to join the program and receive a scholarship of $40,000 to be used during their undergraduate college years. The students join an impressive cohort of 36 current Scholars and 23 alumni of the program.

  • Hailey Craycraft

  • Xantha Cronrath

  • Irving Talavera Rosas

  • Julie Hemple

To be eligible for the Forman Scholars program, a student must be a senior who attends a Salem City Public School or a Salem City resident attending high school. The Foundation strongly considers financial need, in addition to academic performance, as part of its selection process, and students must be enrolled in the Foundation’s Acorn Fund college savings account program prior to applying.

Forman Scholars are not only provided a financial award to put toward their college expenses but they also are exposed to mentorship and networking opportunities that encourage them to connect with the Foundation’s staff members and fellow Scholars.

The newest Scholars and the Foundation’s staff recently met to discuss their selection and hear from each student about the current state of their college search process. In the coming months, stay tuned to learn more about each Scholar, their achievements and their collegiate aspirations in individual profiles to be published on the Foundation’s website!
