For the last 10 years, the students of Salem Middle School have spent thousands of hours singing scales, learning foreign languages, and working diligently to read music while shaping their voices.
Year-after-year, they perform at local, state and regional events bringing superior level, quality music everywhere they go. On May 15, the Salem Middle School choir continued the success of its hard work at a regional Trills and Thrills Music Festival at Grandview Heights Christian Academy, in Hershey, Pennsylvania.
For the fourth time in the last 10 years, the chorus received the top rating of "superior" choir.
The choir was adjudicated on its tone, intonation, diction, technique, interpretation, balance, and repertoire. In all, the choir has won 22 awards over the last ten years and has been rated either "excellent" or "superior" at every local, state and regional event or festival it has participated in.
They are a tremendous example of self discipline, confidence and talent.
